Author, International Speaker, Domestic Violence Counselor
Kamal is a survivor of domestic violence. She has selflessly accepted that her purpose in life is to educate and empower all nations to end abuse. Her mission is to ensure every nation and tongue to understand that abuse is not acceptable under any circumstances. She has spoken extensively about the importance of recognizing, preventing and ending abuse.
Kamal candidly details her personal experience of surviving many years of abuse in a breakthrough autobiography titled "Black and Blue Sari" - a story of abuse, torture, forgiveness and freedom. Her book is available online and at most bookstores across Canada. Her presentations are captivating and delivered with passion and sensitivity and are geared towards all age groups, regardless of race, gender or religion. Past audiences have enjoyed Kamal's personal style and how she engages her audience in a 'question and answer' time.
